BondBloxx launches BBLX core-plus ETF covering high yield, emerging markets and CLOs
BondBloxx announced the launch of its Core Plus ETF, BBLX, on 5 November. The index-tracking fund includes high-yield bonds, emerging-market debt and collateralised loan obligations alongside conventional core bond sectors.
BondBloxx announced the launch of the BondBloxx Core Plus ETF, ticker BBLX, on 5 November 2026.
The fund seeks to track the J.P. Morgan GABI USD Liquid Plus Index. Its exposure spans investment-grade and high-yield US dollar-denominated debt, including Treasuries, corporate bonds, mortgage-backed securities, emerging-market debt and collateralised loan obligations.
The issuer presents the fund as an index-based alternative to conventional aggregate-bond portfolios and active core-plus strategies. SEI contributed an allocator’s and portfolio constructor’s perspective to product development, the release says.
Wider exposure, different risks
The release specifies that SEI and its affiliates do not provide investment advice to BBLX and are not its sponsor, investment adviser, sub-adviser or principal underwriter.
BondBloxx’s risk disclosures warn that below-investment-grade securities can be less liquid and carry greater default risk than higher-rated debt. Mortgage-related and asset-backed securities, including CLOs, are subject to prepayment and extension risk; CLO risks also depend on the tranche and underlying loans.
The launch release does not specify a listing venue or an expense ratio. Neither is inferred here from the fund’s ticker or its index mandate.
