CFTC plans to publish Commitments of Traders data twice a week by the end of 2026, cutting the lag to two days
Under the plan, Monday positions would be published on Wednesday and Wednesday positions on Friday, both at 3:30pm ET (20:30 GMT once US clocks change on 1 November). At present the CFTC publishes once a week, on Friday, using Tuesday's data. The change is not yet in effect; it follows a request for comment in May.
