Utah brings criminal charges against KalshiEX and names its co-founders as co-defendants, two days after the CFTC sued the state
Utah's Attorney General has published a 14-count criminal information against KalshiEX LLC, including a second-degree felony count of pattern of unlawful activity. Kalshi's two co-founders are listed as co-defendants. The document is dated 28 October 2026, two days after the United States and the CFTC sued Utah in federal court to stop it enforcing its gambling laws against CFTC-regulated exchanges. The charges are allegations and have not been proven.
