Hong Kong bill would bring listed funds and REITs under insider dealing, manipulation and disclosure rules
The Securities and Futures (Amendment) Bill 2026, gazetted on 30 October, is due for first reading in the Legislative Council on 11 November. It would also give REITs a statutory route to schemes of arrangement and compulsory acquisition.
