Nasdaq offers Eqlipse Digital tokenisation platform to exchanges and CSDs as it extends its always-on markets plans

Nasdaq is offering Eqlipse Digital, which it describes as a platform for market operators to issue, settle and service tokenised assets, as part of wider plans for always-on markets. Those plans include LeveL ATS, an investment in Europe's One Trading and 23/5 US trading, which is set to start on 6 December 2026. Nasdaq's product page gives no launch date. Separately, an SEC-approved Nasdaq rule to trade tokenised shares on the same order book as traditional shares has not yet taken effect.

DTC switches on its Tokenization Service, with 20 participants signed and Canton and Besu connected

The Depository Trust Company said on 28 October that it has launched the DTCC Tokenization Service, which lets participants convert DTC-held entitlements in Russell 1000 stocks, index ETFs and US Treasuries into tokens and back. The SEC staff no-action letter behind the service is withdrawn three years from the date DTC launches the pilot it covers, and records that DTC will not give the tokens any collateral or settlement value.
